Snow in Birminham!!!

Yeah! Proof positive that it actually does snow in Alabama.
We only had around and inch of snowfall, so these
neighbors down the street must have stolen
snow from other yards to make this snowman.
He was quite large .
At least all of his "parts" are in place.
Remember "Dumb and Dumber"?
HA

Wow, what a snowman... I can't believe they came up with enough snow to build this...

Hi Gary,
No kidding! They had to have stolen snow. Where are the police when you need them? HA

That is pretty cool that they could build such a large snowman with so very little snow. If I could send you some of my snow, I would gladly do it. You can have it all!

Only time in my life I was in Birmingham, it snowed. In the spring. You have no snowplows or salt trucks, and the city is built in a land bowl- everything in residental was up or down a hill..
Old joke-
A Michigan guy takes up sky-diving as a hobby. On his first solo jump, when he pulls the ripcord-nothing happens! Pulls the second chutes' ripcord, and it comes off in his hand..Plummeting to Earth at about 5,000 feet, he sees someone coming up towards him! As they pass, he yells "Know anything about parachutes?" The guy, still going up says "No! Do you know anything about lighting gas furnaces?" :) Good to hear from you again!

Hi Green,
I know you're not real fond of snow..but it's a big thrill here in B'ham.

Hi DoGGa,
Yes, shnow....an inch here practically shuts down the city.
Although, it wasn't too bad this time.

Hi Buffalo,
That's an amazing coincidence we had snow the only time you were here! Was it the spring of 87 or 88? I was married in April and we had a freakish snow then...should have known the marriage was cursed!
haha

Might have been 82-83? Visiting friends that had moved back to Alabama. Remember we went to a restaurant called "Baby Does(doughs?)"

kayla: I know snow is a big deal when it accumulates in B'ham. That's why I'd willingly send you some of my snow. Share the wealth!

We got an inch-ish today of the white flufy stuff. Life went on with nary a blink.

How cold does it get usually in B'ham in the winter?

Hi Buffalo,
Yes! I used to go to Baby Doe's all the time. The food was good and they had a dance floor. You walked through a "coal mine" to get there.

Hi Green,
Seems this has been a pretty cold winter. It's usually in the 40s at night, and 50s in daytime, then we'll have a weird period when it's in the 70s. It's been below freezing at night lately.

Hi Tanya,
I LOVE snow! It's so rare that we get enough to make a decent snowball, much less a snowman.
I was tempted to do the Dumb and Dumber thing, and place his male parts, but figured the neighbors wouldn't appreciate it! HA

Hi Thomas,
Long time no see.
Come on down to Alabama and you'll hear it all the time!
