It's sort of an odd holiday- all people don't get off from work, pretty much just the government employees...

It is an old holiday. I certainly didn't get off work. Here in B'ham,
many businesses are closed! Restaurants, Department stores.
I think it's silly. It's fine to remember MLK, but to me it shouldn't be a national holiday. What about all the other great motivators and world changers? They don't have a day.
Agreed. Either make it a day off for all, or none!
