"I Want You to Find Peace, and I Want You to Find Joy"

In the words of soul singer James Brown:
Good God Almighty!
I could barely believe my eyes when I saw this photo
of Tammy Faye (Bakker) Messner.
I was never a fan of her or her ex-husband,
but anyone who can have such faith, hope and joy
when they are suffering such a horrible disease
is TOPS in my book.
She is 65 years old, and weighs one pound for each year of her life.
More power to ya, Tammy Faye

Hi Gary,
I'm up extra early for some catch up work..
God Bless Her..no matter her past, (I sure wouldn't want to be judged by mine!) I respect how she conducts her life (now..in the end)
Just so you know..I appreciate your visits to my blog :-)

Hi Boo,
I was so shocked at her appearance..
I had not seen a photo of her in so long, I never imagined how her disease had taken its toll.

Hi Rick,
Long time no see!
Need to add your link in my friends list.
I just read a few minutes ago she has died...

kayla: and you want to know the really creepy thing?

Tammy Faye appeared on Larry King Live just this past Thursday (the interview with King was taped on Wednesday).

Friday morning, she died. King was the first to announce her passing, which he did on Saturday's program.

Thanks Kayla. I need to add you back, too.

I agree, Kayla. She was an inspiration because you know she was in so much pain, but she was still trying to keep her spirits up for the others suffering with her. That's a wonderful person, inside and out.

Hey Green,
That WAS very creepy!
My brother in law became a Christian after hearing one of Jim Bakker's sermons (and bro in law was Muslim), so God uses everyone according to His purpose..

Hey Rick,
You're officially linked now!

Hi Snow!
You know, what I admire about her is that she royally screwed up, and eventually fixed that...
I believe she had a genuine change of heart in great part due to her illness.

Hey Green,
I appreciate the link
Much better than the one I linked

Yeah, did you ever see the documentary about her, The Eyes of Tammy Faye? That changed my mind about her big time. Sad to see her pass away.

Shit! I haven't seen her since her chubbyness...she looks terrible!

You are a forgiving lady. If you can find it, listen to "American Dream" by Crosby,Stills,Nash and Young. That's what I remember about these people....

I bet the mortician didn't have to apply any makeup to her.
Good Lord...

Wasn't she out of Thunderbirds? :[]

On a serious note, good luck to her and her optimism!!!

Hi Egan,
Yes, I did..helped me change my mind about her also.

Hi Jenny,
Welcome!
Well, she's gone now..so, she doesn't have to worry about looks anymore.
Yeah, she used to be chubby..then really took a nosedive. Sad.

Hi Buffalo,
I had a hard time believing she had a change of heart. I think hearing death knocking at her door woke her up..it certainly didn't come overnight.
I have a lot of shit in my past I'm not proud of, and hope it won't always be held against me.
Yeah, even *sweet* little me has a past..haha

HI Phil, my friend,
Sheesh..no kidding.
Unbelievable..just mind boggling

Hey up DoGGa,
:[]
She died, but she kept hope!

the question is, was she able to find peace and joy while living?
